At the beginning of this school year, we awarded college scholarships to 14 orphan boys and girls aspiring to be doctors, nurses, engineers and more! Flashback ten years or so, and we’d see our ch*rch planters traveling to villages and encountering these children who had been abandoned or had a parent who was unable to care for them. We’d see the pastors bring these young people to our partner’s children’s homes, where they would be transformed with the love and hope of Jesus. In addition, many of them would receive a free education at the ministry’s school serving nursery through 10th grades. God is amazing!
Flash forward to today, and an additional seven students from the children’s homes are applying for scholarships! Right now, you have the opportunity to further their education! By giving, you can put these believers on a path to success and help them stand on their own two feet.
Here are a couple inspiring stories from both an applicant and a current college student.

I come from a very impoverished family, though life was decent while my parents were alive. Unfortunately, when I was 10 years old, my father had a heart attack and passed away. We couldn’t afford anything for education. Three years later, I lost my mother to a snake bite and became depressed thinking about my future.
After witnessing my situation, a visiting pastor brought me to the girls’ home in 2013. They take care of me like a mother and father, and I am experiencing the great love of God each and every day. Because of His grace and mercy I am getting a good education, proper love, care and support.
I persevered and excelled academically, achieving good marks on my high school exit exam. Now, I want to join a GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) diploma program to become a nurse. Nursing isn’t just a profession for me, I have a genuine love of caring for others and want to help needy people. After my studies, and for the rest of my life, I will serve the Lord and continue to glorify Him.

I was born into a very poor family, and it was a struggle to eat one meal a day. During that hard time, my father died and our situation became even worse. Pastor M*noj brought me to the boys’ home in 2015, where I got new friends, family and the love and care I needed.
Presently, I am working on a bachelor’s degree in political science, and plan on joining a law college afterward. I’ve always wanted to be a lawyer so I could be a voice for the poor – I will fight for justice and their rights.
Once I was hopeless, but now I have hope, happiness and the joy of the Lord. God has given me a big family who will always stand with me through all my ups and downs. Every single day is a miracle in my life, and I want all the people of India to experience this same joy.
